PETER BLUNDEN
President
Peter started in the laundry equipment business in 1981, first with Maritime Equipment Ltd. out of Sydney Nova Scotia. Maritime was a family business, started by Ted Latimer in 1970 servicing all hospital and hotel laundries throughout Atlantic Canada.
Peter and his partner, Marge Latimer, created East Coast Laundry Equipment Ltd. in 1985 and purchased Maritime Equipment, amalgamating both companies to serve their customers out of both the Sydney office/warehouse and the new Halifax office/warehouse.
After University, Peter and Marge completed their studies at the Canadian Laundry & Linen Institute in Laundry Design and Management. Over the past 30+ years Peter has designed laundries, completed numerous consulting/planning projects and supplied and installed over 500 laundries throughout Atlantic Canada.
